“Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…” – Ephesians 1:3 (CSB)
No matter our circumstances or the state of the world around us, if we are God’s children, we can recognize God’s blessings in our lives!
We can sing, we can say, we can pray: “Blessed be God!”
And we can do it sincerely!
He has called us His own (Ephesians 1:11)! He has redeemed us (Colossians 1:14)! He gives us all things we need for life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3)!
All blessings come from God because he is the “fount of every blessing,” as an old hymn says.
Furthermore, God is totally sufficient.
When God blesses us, He effectively gives us spiritual or material benefits. When we bless Him, we get to speak well of Him and what He does or did for us and others! These are our God-Stories!
Bless God. Speak well of Him. Tell Him how grateful you are for everything He does, for what He gives you or withholds from you, and speak well of Him to those around you.
