7 Ways to Multiply Your Giving

There are many ways you can help advance God’s Kingdom. One of them is by giving to fuel efforts to raise up more Kingdom Laborers. By leveraging opportunities to multiply your giving, you can make a greater impact than you could imagine!

How the Gift of Giving Can Make a Kingdom Impact

“Among them were… many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.”—Luke 8:3 (NLT)

Did you know that Jesus Himself had a group of people financially fueling His itinerant ministry? That’s right. His ministry would not have happened without those “Firestarters” who were His partners in the Gospel (Luke 8:3). From the days of Jesus to the present, generous individuals have always been at the core of wildfire movements of God.

Almost 100 years ago, one such Firestarter was a simple businessman from Bristol, Tennessee. While evangelist Mordecai Ham was preaching in the Bristol area in 1934, Rev. Hamm received an invitation to continue further east and hold revival meetings in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, he could not afford to go. Rev. Ham shared the need with a local business owner, E. B. Cox. Moved to partner with Rev. Ham in sending the Gospel, E. B. Cox gave Rev. Ham the money to go to Charlotte. It was during one of the revival meetings with Rev. Ham in Charlotte in the fall of 1934 that Billy Graham surrendered his life to Christ.

Only heaven could tell the true Kingdom impact and untold millions that would come to know Jesus because of E. B. Cox’s gift. And even now, in 2023, you, too, have an opportunity to fuel Jesus’ itinerant mission and heart-cry for more Kingdom Laborers. And by finding ways to multiply your giving, you can make a significant impact!

Let God Write the Next Story of Kingdom Impact through You

Once, as I had finished preaching at a little impoverished church in East Africa, the pastor handed me an envelope of money.

I quickly declared, “What is this? We cannot take this from you.”

“Are you going to reject our seed in your ministry?” the pastor firmly questioned in response.

What could be said except for a grateful, “Thank you for your partnership for the Gospel.”

This African church may have appeared small and impoverished, but as they took an offering to sacrificially and joyfully partner, they revealed their richness in spirit! They viewed their giving not as an obligation but as a seed that would grow—an investment, advancing the mission of Jesus!

I wonder if this is what the Holy Spirit may have had in mind when He inspired these words: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7, NIV).

Let God guide you as you multiply your giving, and HE will make your joy full!
