Forge Equipping

Dear faithful supporters and friends,

I believe God is asking me to take a step of faith and I'd like your help! Most of you know my heart for people in East Africa. This passion has continued. I am not headed to East Africa this time, but I believe the journey God is taking me on will get me one step closer. I trust Him in this. I'm willing to take whatever opportunities he brings my way.

At the beginning of this year I was asking God to send me something in the mail to confirm a ministry opportunity. Interestingly, a Forge magazine came in the mail!

I was very impressed by what I saw from Forge. I found myself compelled to ask more on how they go about ministry. As I learned more, I have been continually excited and blessed. As a result of my answered prayer, I sensed the Lord asking me to take part in Forge’s summer discipleship program called Forge Equipping. As I pray about this training, I believe God is saying this time will play an integral part in my journey with Him.

Forge Equipping is a physically, emotionally, and spiritually intense discipleship adventure hosted by Forge (ForgeForward.org). It's filled with teaching by Forge Speakers, grueling team building, and outdoor adventures. Our destinations include both urban and rural locations where we will experience a variety of ministry opportunities. We will also take part in Forge's summer camp called Deep Camp and go on an international mission trip to unreached people in Mexico.  The whole process is designed to help me engage Jesus’ mission to those around me in my everyday life and to help others do the same.

Would you please join me in praying for this trip?

1. Often the enemy likes to put doubts in our mind about what God wants to do. Please pray for peace over my heart.

2. Asking others for things I believe God has put on my heart is hard to step out and do again. Please pray for courage and wisdom.

3. Praise God that He will provide! I believe praise really just blesses God's heart and if you can't give just praise Him for what's coming.
