Forge Equipping

Dear friends and family,

Greetings! I hope this letter finds you very well!

During the summer of 2022, I was invited to be a part of a Christian discipleship program for young adults called Forge Equipping. I've learned a lot through the Holy Spirit using Forge Speakers in my life before, so I was excited when I heard about this opportunity! After much thought and prayer, I decided to sign up for the trip.

Forge Equipping is a physically, emotionally, and spiritually intense discipleship adventure hosted by Forge (ForgeForward.org). It's filled with teaching by Forge Speakers, intense team building, and exciting outdoor adventures. Our destinations include both urban and rural locations where we will experience a variety of ministry opportunities. We will also take part in Forge's summer camp called Deep Camp and go on an international mission trip to unreached people in Mexico. The whole process is designed to help me engage Jesus’ mission to those around me in my everyday life and to help others do the same.

I am especially excited about the Mexico mission trip to reach the unreached with the Gospel! For much of my life, I've been interested in going to unreached people in India as a missionary, but God has not spoken to me specifically regarding what He wants for my future after high school. I'm praying that during Forge Equipping God will reveal to me what steps to take after graduating high school, whether that be going to India or doing something else.

I'm eagerly anticipating going on Forge Equipping this summer! I'm trying to be open to whatever God has planned. Whatever it is, I will only be able to experience it with the help of others. My first request is that you pray for me as I prepare for this program. Please,

1) Pray that the Lord will prepare me spiritually and physically.

2) Pray for the Lord's will to be done in my heart and through me in the lives of the people I connect with.

3) Pray that the Lord will provide for every need that arises as I step out in believing obedience to His plan.

Secondly, I would ask that you consider partnering with me financially in this adventure. The total cost for this program is $5,600, travel expenses not included. I am confident that God has much to teach me this summer in and through my training at Forge Equipping, and I would ask you to prayerfully consider investing in my life.
