Forge Equipping

Hello everyone,

Thank you in advance for your time!

I am reaching out to you because I need your help.  There is this unique ministry called Forge.  Their mission is to increase kingdom laborers.  Laborers being NOT just those who go overseas with the Gospel but ANYONE who share Jesus WHEREVER the spirit leads them 🙂

I love that.

As most of you may know, I am planning on going into youth ministry after I graduate from CIU in May of next year.  You may be asking, “Why aren't you doing a youth internship at a church if that’s what you want to do?”  That is an EXCELLENT question!  My answer may feel odd, but I really believe the Lord has led me to Forge Equipping this summer. I did not come to this decision lightly. I prayed that the Lord would make it very clear if I should do Forge. I asked, “Lord, if you want me to go, will you make it clear through a conversation this week?”.  The next day someone (who knew nothing of this) randomly asked me if I was doing Forge Equipping this summer.  The day after that I received two more signs that I believe were providentially timed.  All that to say I am confident that Forge Equipping is what God wants me to do this summer.

“So,” you may be wondering, “what are you even going do?”

Well, the training is 5 weeks long with 3 sections in 3 different locations.  The first section is in Columbia, SC at CIU and the purpose is to give us the practical training we need to be a Kingdom Laborer. The second section is in Colorado.  There we will get to apply what we've learned and help run a family camp.  The third and last section is a 2-week mission trip to Mexico.  This mission trip is focused on proclaiming the good news of Jesus to those who have never heard it before.

The whole program costs $5,600.  This doesn't include the flight home from Mexico which could be $500 or more.  I have $500 saved up for that expense.  meaning I need help with every dollar in this $5,600 cost.  I will do everything I can to invest more but $500 is the only certain amount coming from my end. 

Will you help me minimize this gap and join me in the calling I believe God has given me? I would also be so thankful for your continued prayers for this training.
