Forge Equipping

Hello family and friends,
Hope that you are doing well! Thank you in advance for your time.

I am writing today to share about an upcoming opportunity I have this summer with an organization called Forge. They exist to equip both youth and adults to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ in everyday situations wherever God has placed them to be lights that impact and transform lives.

Last Fall, Forge came to Columbia International University (my college) to speak about the importance of Christians being everyday kingdom laborers for Jesus. Not only did those with Forge come to speak but they also came to make personal connections with students. I had the privilege to meet and talk to Dwight Robertson, the CEO of Forge. When I met him I would have never guessed that he was the CEO because his love for Jesus and connecting with me in the present moment was more important to him than any leadership position he held. Through his humility he expressed the love of Jesus better than many Christians I have met. This greatly impacted my heart desiring to be like Dwight and to be an everyday kingdom laborer for Jesus. This summer I intended to find a full-time paid internship to gain professional work experience but God had different plans. Because of Dwight and Forge's impact on my life God is leading me this summer to go through Forge's discipleship training program called Forge Equipping (ForgeEquipping.com). I know the Lord will use this experience to give me the foundation and tools needed to be a kingdom laborer for Jesus wherever I go and whatever I do in the workplace and in my local community.

This is an amazing opportunity filled with exciting ministry and intensive training! I am not sure exactly what to expect, but I'm eager to join God's plan for me this summer. Whatever it is, I will only be able to experience it with the help of others. My first request is that you pray for me as I prepare for this summer discipleship training mission.

1) Pray that the Lord will prepare me spiritually and physically.
2) Pray for the Lord's will to be done in my heart and through me in the lives of the people I connect with
3) Pray that the Lord will provide for every need that arises as I step out in believing obedience to His plan.

Secondly, I would ask that you consider partnering with me financially in this adventure. The total cost for this program is $5,600. I am confident that God has much to teach me this summer in and through my training at Forge Equipping, and I would ask you to prayerfully consider investing in my life.
