God’s Word is truth and must be preached without compromise. This is Jonathan’s deep conviction. He is compelled by his desire to help others avoid “checklist Christianity.” In its place, Jonathan hopes to help others encounter Jesus. His heart is to help others know Jesus, lovingly obey his commands and surrender to His truth.
Jonathan grew up attending church. He knew the Bible stories, participated at all the functions, even ministered through outreach. It wasn't until the age of 21, though, that Jonathan realized he was missing a relationship with the living God. As Jonathan encountered God, he was convicted of his sin, cried out for salvation, and surrendered his life to Jesus. From that day, his life has never been the same. Jonathan now spends his time and energy sharing about the joy of living a life surrendered to Christ, persevering through obstacles, and proclaiming truth with conviction.
About Jonathan
Jonathan and his wife Kristi have three children (Livi, Lindi, and Jude) and live in Mississippi. Along with itinerant ministry and pastoring a local church, Jonathan owns and operates a multigenerational Christian retreat center with his family. He holds a Masters of Preaching and Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
