Forge Equipping

Dear Family and Friends,

Over the past two years I have felt a strong calling into ministry. While serving at church and being involved with others in my community, I have realized my love for the Word of God and people. Recently, I was introduced to Forge Ministries through my church, Metro City, and I was immediately drawn to their discipleship program called Forge Equipping.

Forge Equipping is a physically, emotionally, and spiritually intense discipleship adventure hosted by Forge (ForgeForward.org). It's filled with teaching by Forge Speakers, grueling team building, and outdoor adventures. Their destinations include both urban and rural locations where a variety of ministry opportunities are experienced.  They offer a summer camp called Deep Camp where they go on an international mission’s trip to unreached people in Mexico.  The whole process is designed to share the love of Jesus around us in our everyday life and to help others do the same.

This is something I am truly excited and passionate about! And I have been invited to be a part of this amazing ministry and intensive training! I am not sure exactly what to expect, but I'm eager to join God's plan for me this summer. Whatever it is, I will only be able to experience it with the help of others. My first request is that you pray for me as I prepare for this summer’s discipleship training mission.

1) Pray that the Lord will prepare me spiritually and physically.

2) Pray for the Lord's will to be done in my heart and through me in the lives of the people I connect with.

3) Pray that the Lord will provide for every need that arises as I step out in obedience to His plan.

Secondly, I would ask that you consider partnering with me financially in this adventure. The total cost for this program is $5600. I am confident that God has much to teach me this summer in my training at Forge Equipping, and I would ask you to prayerfully consider investing in my life. My fundraising deadline is June 1. For us as Christians, we are commanded to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). I believe that this program will help me have a better understanding of discipleship and how to live that out in my everyday life.
